Hopi Kachina artist Thomas Dzuryemie carved this wonderful A'hote kachina. A'hote is also known as Sakwahote and traditionally is found in blue or yellow. This A'hote is yellow. Each feather of his wings are cared and scored. His wings are on his back and wrap around toward his front. According to Hopi tradition, A'hote is the "restless one" Thomas carved A'hote out of the traditional cottonwood root. In the center of the feathers on the back is a Hopi Sun. This wonderful Kachina stands just over 13 inches in height. He is about 3" wide, with his base being 3.5 inches.
