This 5.5 inch terra cotta horse hair pot was designed and made by Navajo potter Ronald Smith. This pot has the shape of a water vessel. The vase is 3 inches wide at its widest point. The mouth is about 2 inches wide. The pot is carved with a Native American design. Mr. Smith used pastel paints to set off his carving on the vase. He used burgundy, brown and green paints. Mr. Smith is from the Salt Clan. Mr. Smith has been an experienced craftsman for 15 years.
