This little pot shows the incredible pot making skill of the Santa Clara Indians. Santa Clara potter and artist Gwen Tafoya carved this extra-ordinary pot. The entire pot is covered with etchings. At the center is a bear paw, with a hummingbird feeding from a flower on each side. At the center of the bear paw is a small dot of coral. The hummingbird's eyes are small turquoise dots. At the back of the pot is a beautifully carved rose. This little pot has a base of about 1.5 inches. The pot stands about 2 inches. The mouth of the pot is about 1.5 inches wide.
