This sculpture has a smooth soft line. The buffalo was carved from a single piece of red alabaster. The buffalo has turquoise inlaid for its eyes. He stands on a second piece of carved alabaster, which makes up the pedestal. This buffalo was carved by husband and wife Navajo carvers Ray and Wilma Todaceey. They always sign their pieces with the signature, Ray and Wilma Tody. This buffalo stands about 4 inches tall at the top of his hump. He is about 4.75 inches in total length with the pedastel being 3inches by 2inches. The buffalo is about 1 inch wide.
