This is a beautifully carved red alabaster bear. This bear was carved by Navajo artists Arthur and Charlotte Yazzie. The bear is a sacrid animal who symbolizes the power of the soul, healing, bold individuality, introspection, the change of seasons, and the guradians of the west. On each side of this bear are etched kokopellis and two paw prints. Kokopelli is the kachina for fertility and represents prosperity. |
